Sherlock Holmes: a play for marionettes in four scenes : programs and ephemera, 1936-1976.

Programs and material related to productions of a marionette adaptation of The speckled band, presented in 1936 in New York by the Marionette Theatre, a project of the Federal Theatre Works Progress Administration. Collection contains of a photocopy of the play program and a letter to Norman Schatell detailing information about the original productions. The play was adapted by Ruth Fenisong and Samuel Sayer, and was directed by Remo Bufano.
